Social Skills Groups - July 11-August 1 2024
WHO: Verbal young adults with ASD, age 20-40 who are interested in improving their social skills.
WHEN: July 11-August 1, 2024
Clients needed for this current offering are for those who have ASD, and who have verbal skills that require refinement for use in social settings. Only participants with similar abilities will be grouped together. Max 3 participants per group (minimum 2 required).
WHERE: South Snohomish County, Lynnwood, close to both 405 and 5 exits.
WHAT: $600 for 4 sessions, 75 minutes each; group speech-language therapy to develop social skills required for work, school and life; includes conversational skills such as initiating conversation, topic maintenance, introduction and topic shifts, how to make friends, appropriate behaviors based on context, 'hanging out', spatial awareness of others and a whole host of other issues that commonly affect this group of people.

If you have not participated in a group or individual therapy with Sno-King Speech Inc. before, a short 30 minute evaluation with Nithya will be required either in person or over Zoom. Cost is an additional $75. An insurance compliant invoice will be provided at the end of the session from which you may get reimbursement. Sessions are billed as speech/language therapy - group. Nithya has been an SLP working with adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities for the past 25 years. She has worked with a variety of adolescents and adults in many settings, including conducting parent training sessions to facilitate generalization of skills to the community. Her goals are to make therapy as functional and real as possible.
